Nails by Georgina at Face-Up is where it all started in the early 80's, then opening Beauty Plus at Duckworth Square, this was sold in 1988 at which time Beau Monde was born.

Beau Monde in the 1990s was known for its variety, the fact that it was such a high quality training academy, and its huge reputation for nail enhancement application and beauty treatments. Beau Monde franchised in Derby City Centre, and was soon in gyms and hair salons throughout the area.

In the early 2000s the market for nail salons changed. A huge number of nail bars and salons were popping up on each and every corner of city centres across the country, but not all of these work to the standard and came with the reputation that Beau Monde keeps to this day.

Georgina felt that, due to the volume of salons arriving in town, the niche individuality of Beau Monde needed to be away from that area, and that was when Beau Monde downsized to a beautiful village called Allestree, just out of town and with the added bonus free parking and surrounded by lots of beautiful, quaint shops.

After closing the franchises this was just the place for Beau Monde. Myself Hollie, Georgina's daughter, by this point had finished training in many courses, building my knowledge in the industry and working to gain my masters.
